Her father, Ferdy, is Indonesian, from West Timor. Her mother, Therese, is an Indigenous Australian, from the Kuku Yalanji people in the rainforest regions of Far North Queensland. She is married to soccer player and council worker Themeli “Magoo” Magripilis.
