Bogus Basin's new feature attraction set to open this weekend

Bogus Basin has announced that its new attraction, the Mineshaft Challenge Course, will open on Saturday, July 1.

The Mineshaft Challenge Course stands 55 ft., taller than the Explorer Base Camp.

The Mineshaft is designed for everyone from beginners to season thrill-seekers, with three levels with different stages of Challenges. Each has 12 unique elements, including climbing nets, ladder bridges, barrel tunnels, rappel devices, balancing features and more.

Guides will be stationed throughout the course to help coach and encourage guests. They will also ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone.

Guests will be secured using a multi-point tether system allowing them to move freely while being safely attached. Guests that reach the top of the Mineshaft will have two options to return safely to the ground. The first option is by an auto belay device, or if guests are feeling adventurous, they can soar back down on two separate zip lines that are 180 feet and 160 feet.

The Mineshaft Challenge Course will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting July 1. Guests are recommended to make advanced reservations for a 90-minute session. This new attraction costs $39 for those 13 and older and $34 for kids 7-12.
